Applying to our Program

Applicants with no prior postgraduate training in Canada or the USA should apply through the Canadian Residency Matching Service (CaRMS). The application cycle begins in September of each year for positions to commence July 1 of the following year.

Subject to funding and government policy, positions may be available for Canadian Medical Graduates (CMGs) and International Medical Graduates (IMGs). IMGs applicants must typically complete additional language and clinical proficiency requirements.

All applicants, regardless of where they completed their medical training, are asked to review the requirements on the McMaster University Postgraduate Medical Education’s Resident Application.
